Canopy Lifting, sometimes called ‘elevation’ pruning, removes low limbs to clear walkways, streets, lights and structures. It also benefits lawns underneath by allowing more sunlight to reach the turf grass.
Canopy reduction is often used to help contain the size and shape of a tree within its growing space. Often, it can be used in conjunction with tree growth regulators which slow the amount of annual shoot growth. This treatment helps reduce the need for annual shaping and provides lasting results.
