Plant Health Care Technician / Horticulturalist
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to identify trees, shrubs and the common pests and diseases effecting them.
- Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Landscape Architecture and Environmental Sciences is helpful, but not necessary.
- Two years’ field experience required.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- PA Applicators License - will train and assist in process.
- ISA Certified Arborist - will train and assist in process.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all client interactions to provide exceptional customer experience.
- Provide clients with the proper tree and landscape information to care for their property.
- Complete administrative skills such as record keeping, inventories and report writing.
- Perform required functions of the integrated pest management program including plant inspections, sampling, treatments, and equipment maintenance.
- Effectively operate, calibrate, and maintain fertilization and injection equipment.
- Monitor and document cultural conditions effecting tree health.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat insects & diseases on trees and shrubs.
Work Schedule
- Full time, OT if desired.
- Monday to Friday.
- Saturdays required when making up for inclement weather and during busy seasons.

Continuing Education
- ISA Certified Arborist
- CDL License A and/or B
- Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP)
