Beech Leaf Disease: The Threat Continues
Beech Leaf Disease (BLD) continues to threaten beech trees throughout our region. Caused by a microscopic nematode, BLD affects all species of beech trees and can lead to premature defoliation, canopy dieback, and ultimately tree death within 5 years.
We are Actively Protecting Beech Trees
Early awareness is an important key to protecting beech trees. We’re committed to helping our community recognize the signs of BLD, understand its impact, and learn how proper tree care can help protect them.
Through partnerships with local organizations and arboretums, our arborists are able to share information through educational presentations, workshops, and guided walks. These opportunities allow us to bring our knowledge directly to the community and encourage homeowners to spot the signs and take action early.
By sharing this knowledge, we can help our community better understand and respond to this growing threat.
