Sales/Plant Health Care Arborist

As a Sales Arborist, you will assess tree and shrub health, diagnose issues, recommend customized plant health care solutions, and build long-term relationships with residential and commercial clients. In this hybrid role, you will also oversee and direct our PHC technicians to ensure exceptional service and results for our customers.

    Qualifications and Skills


  • ISA Certified Arborist (preferred) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven sales experience in tree care, landscaping, or a related green industry (preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Strong knowledge of plant ID, tree biology, pests, diseases, and plant health care practices.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities


  • Facilitate daily schedules and routing for the PHC technician team.
  • To smile.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate tree and shrub health, diagnose pests, diseases, and environmental stressors.
  • Develop and present customized plant health care recommendations and proposals to clients.
  • Promote services including soil care, fertilization, pest and disease management, tree pruning and removals when necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residential and commercial clients.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with PHC technicians and sales team to ensure services are delivered efficiently and professionally.
  • Stay current with industry standards, ISA best management practices, and new developments in plant health care.

Work Schedule


  • Full time, OT if desired.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Saturdays required when making up for inclement weather and during busy seasons.

Required attributes


  • Professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Deep interest in arboricultural, entomological, pathological, and environmental issues affecting tree and landscape plants.
  • Strong problem-solving, relationship-building, adaptability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess and recommend strategies for improvement in plant health and client landscapes.


Experience, License, and Certifications


  • Plant and pest identification knowledge required.
  • Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s License.
  • ISA Certified Arborist preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, technical, and communication skills.
